Things from the future

[]    otherwise : 20. August 2004, 15:38

Why is it that people don’t believe you when you tell them about a good and weird dream? They always assume that you make the whole thing up there on the spot. Sure, it’s made up—it’s a fucking dream!—but when I was a sleep. The last one contained Turkish mummies, Egyptian pyramids/apartment buildings with insane mazes, women who shed their skins, and everything to a soundtrack by the Adam West Fanclub Experience that sounded really good. Try to come up with that awake. I dare you. No, if you’re Grant Morrison, it doesn’t count.

To other make-believe things. Odyssey 5 then, which is fun even though Firefly just said “swooosh” and flew way, way past. However, it is probably the second best “pure” SF show the last few years. At least after the first three episodes. More later.

No comics talk just yet: Powers #3, Dstrict X #4, Daisy Kutter #1 and a Demo-thingamabob is coming up though. Probably during the weekend or later tonight.

  1. Don´t fuck with AWFE. You guys are really going somewhere. “I fine little band I still enjoy”, to quote McCartney (although he said it about The Beatles…). TKJ´s guitar effort on Letter To Satan is really something. The beer bottle-bashing is enjoyable as well. Picnic could be the best white rock´n´roller since The Clash packed it in.

Now for my question, sir: what is that your shouting on the Star Wars Clarification-thingy? “Enemy”? Is it?

  2. Ehrm. “Ever made” I think.

  3. Wait ‘til you guys hear the trash metal version of Letter to Satan. It’s awesome. Or, it’s gonna be awesome. I’ve tried to get in touch with Lemmy, but he won’t return my phonecalls.

  4. Tommy: I told you not to send him those nude photos of yourself to him before you made him commit to do the vocals.

  5. Nicklas: “Ever made”? Of course…

  6. Tommy: I wrote one song a day last week, as a sort of experiment. With this I mean proper songs, not 30 sec dittys about losing one´s pony. Three of them turned out good enough, I think. That´s as close to half you can get without actually making it. There´s one called Ghost In The House you could maybe help me with. The melody is all there, all you have to do is make words up.

Why didn´t I make this an e-mail? Oh, yeah. Right. I wanted to wank on about writing seven songs in a week. That´s why.

But I was serious about you helping out with some words.
