carbonated ink : one man's struggle against boredom

Can I say this?

I can’t help but to feel cynical about it. It’s the year of the bastard. I can’t shake it, things will get worse. I’ve got no real proof, but it’s in tha air somehow.

We have radio-observers who monitor so that nothing “illegal” happens on the air. Which is silly. Even sillier and far worse is that now a humour show has been fined due to a joke about the king’s death. The observers said it was because of “the radio’s wide impact as well as it was an intrusion in the king’s personal life” which is bullshit. First, the radio doesn’t have any impact at all anymore. At least not the public service channels, as they actually have more content than the latest hit lists and people don’t want that. And point the second, the king is a public figure, if not the public figure in Sweden as he serves no other function. He’s a public relations butt-puppet för fuck sake. Sure, the joke might have been bad taste but that alone shouldn’t lead to repercussions.

Freedom of speech should be absolute, there is no middle ground. It’s not too hard to grasp that idea is it? Idiots.

  2. I think the Rulers of the World™ grew up reading the demo-pages in various computermagazines. Demo as in “look at all the nifty things I can do by humbing the machinery” and cracy as in a misspelt handle.
