A problem with prose
I’ve burnt myself out. I can’t read literature any more, at least not the one’s that contains exclusively prose. I can’t get more than a few pages in and then it stops unless it’s really, really tremendously good. I know when it happened too. I can pinpoint the exact time. May 10th 17:38, I was reading the book for the upcoming booktalk as I cooked food. Then it hit me, “I like the way she writes and use of language but I can’t care less about these characters.” I couldn’t read another page. So I tried something else but that stalled after the first chapter. The same thing happened to the next and the next.
Non-fiction works fine, no problem there thank God. And I think some fiction can work, but most of it just seems really uninteresting and that includes books I’ve been dying to read for a long time.

Oh.
Or not. At. All.
Picking up a book gives me ADD, most of the times.
By the way, I saw Shrek 2 yesterday, and recorded it to VHS. Acctually I didn’t see the hole thing, because I had to wash my dishes. But the first 15 minutes and the last 10 was pretty good, I guess. I dunno really, because when I finally did place my skinny hairy ass in front of the TV, I picked up the guitar.
Moives gives me ADD too.
