X-title re-acquaintance
In a previous post, I mentioned my overly long sabbatical from the X-Men. Then, I bought the first two trades in Grant Morrison’s run, and well, the shit sort of hit the fan as I now sits here waiting for the last collection.
At first I had a problem with Frank Quitely’s art. This could be explained by under how much stress he was at the time, because at times it was spotless and beautiful. Otherwise it could look like everyone was the same person—except for Beast who always looked neat. (Gives me hope for We3.) Despite some problems with a so-so main plot in the Cassandra Nova-arc, the title is much more fun than I remembers. This could very much be the result of my last exposure back in the Onslaught-shambles.
When I’ve read the final trade, I’ll do some sort of thorough go-through.
