Kingdom of Loathing—an online RPG still in beta but open to the public, where one can be things such as accordion thieves or seal clubbers and creatures such as ninja snowmen. You can never go wrong with a ninja. Even less wrong with hordes of them. Sure, it’s not even near the complexity of Nethack, but as a time killer it’s excellent.
