carbonated ink : one man's struggle against boredom

#1111

[]    The 1114 list : 21. July 2005, 12:43

This might come as a bit of a surprise—my political affilations tend to be rather far leftist—but yeah, I’m extremely fascinated by Richard Nixon, so he’s number 1111. He’s my favorite cartoon character ever and in some ways the last real president in the United States. Sure, he was paranoid, corrupt, selfish, and evil as fuck but apart from that? He had the posture and the glamour to uphold the illusion—something no one elected to the office has had after that.

After he was forced to resign, the evil people didn’t feel it was safe to hide in the middle of the public spotlight and the keepers crawled up from the sewers and attached themselves to the politicians while the evil luked in the shadows behind the power. Karl Rove might be the source of evil itself and way a head of Nixon in that regard, but Nixon had more balls.

  1. Shouldn´t Tricky Dicky be number 666? Not because he was that evil, but just for the fun of it.

  2. Too obvious and Hunter already did that.

  3. I was aware of Hunter´s hate towards Nixon, but I didn´t know he had pinpointed him as the actual Devil. But then, why not?
