Walkerwatch #4
Today’s episode of Walker Texas Ranger is #045 Case Closed. (Fitting name.)
We see an UFO with lots of light—even from the ground like spotlights, some of them must have landed. A girl walks out from the lights and Chucky and his lawyer girlfriend runs to her. But no, she’s not an alien, just a normal girl. She says her father got taken by the “sky people” and then, just like that, the US military turns up just minutes after Chucky found her and claims that she has to go with them. Chucky says no, because he’s a Texas Ranger damnit, and he doesn’t follow the orders of US military. Least of all since it’s obvious that they’re responsible for this, obvious to the viewer that is. Chucky has only a small clue about what’s going on. A very small one.
The girl and her father was flying to the magic Mardi Gras in Galveston, when a light beam hit the plane and he couldn’t pilot it anymore and down went the plane. Chucky tells the doctor, who is an old man and probably his puppeteer, to examine the blood on the girl’s doll and see to whom it might belong. He then decided to go to the military base—a military base where “they shot a civilian to death out there a couple of years ago.” Then came commercials and I decided to hell with this. I can’t take any more.
From today’s heartbreaking episode I learnt that people believe in alien abductions outside of Fife, Alabama.
The effects this episode had on me was that it gave me a severe allergic reaction.
