The Hug a Timmy Project
If you see this man on the street, give him a big hug. Why? Because Tim Minear deserves it. Really. Many people doesn’t know his name, many people are very ignorant. Timmy has been involved in a lot af neat stuff such as Angel and Firefly—in both shows these shows his writing pretty much kicked Joss Whedon’s ass school-yard style. He was also the showrunner on Wonderfalls—the greatest show in… ever. And in next month, the Inside starts. And so far, it looks great. (But then again, so did Point Pleasant, but no, let’s not dwell on that.)
However. With a regular Adam Baldwin and Katie Finneran in the cast and Timmy, Jane Espenson, David Fury and Ron Howard behind the scenes. (Ron Howard must be some sort of Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde. His movies are pretty boring and stardadish, but when he’s involved in a tv-show, you get stuff like Arrested Development—that has been picked up for a thid season by the way. Yay! Conga-line! Party!) A massivly re-tooled show premise that’s more dark and disturbing unlike the original High School undercover-thing. I can’t be cynical about it, I just can’t. It will be great. Add Ben Edlund as a writer on one of the episodes and Amber Benson guest actress, it will damnright be impossible for it not to succeed.
