Not as good as it could have been
I’m pissed at Boston Legal. No, it has nothing to do with the usual claim that since Candice Bergen came along they’ve been soapboxing. Not at all. The fault was there from the beginning. They took the characters from the Practice and made them… simpler and more cartoony. Which probably works wonders with people who hadn’t seen how they could be. The problem is that when you have, you see the holes where the darkness and complexity were located.
Alan Shore had a twisted sense of morality, but now he has none. There is nothing that balance the oppotunist in him out, no heart for those who need it. Only Tara and Denny comes out on top, the rest have been shot in the left knee-cap. Sadly. And now, they don’t interact in the firm in the same way either. There’s two cases and they never meet. There goes the other knee-cap.
I hope they get out of this since the potential in it is just amazing.
