I have done pretty much nothing but watch tv the last few days. Not proper tv, but, well, you catch my drift.
I’ve seen the latest two episodes of Arrested Development—they go to great lengths with their characters just to make a few utter brilliant jokes. “Loose seal!” anyone?
Season opener of Deadwood, great fight scene. Wonderful really, they actually looked really beaten afterwards. I think I like The Wire more, but Deadwood and Carnivále is there at the top of the HBO output. Still, something is a bit off though, something in the HBO-factor prevents me from actually celebrating it. While they’re really good, the characters, I just don’t really care about them.
And season 4 of the Shield kicks ass. When it starts, it will be the best thing currently on tv hands down. Wild Bill Hickok and Glenn Close. Yikes, this show only gets better an better.
Then I saw season 8 of the Practice. Originally just because of Alan Shore (James Spader) and Denny Crane (William Shatner), but I was drawn in. Really, this show was good. Damn good. Why didn’t I watch it? Episode 8.11—“Police State”—is among the favorites. A really fantastic thing, it was even creepy and horrifying. And the mini-arcs? Loved them. Hope that format pops up in Boston Legal soon. “I’m Denny Crane damnit!” Now I want to be a lawyer again. I though I had given up that after Angel went of the air.

Fark… I´m turning into one of you. I used to be the cute one. What went wrong?
