carbonated ink : one man's struggle against boredom

no, look around you

Yesterday I saw the first episode of Look around you in series one and it was everything I had hoped it would be.

To describe it? How do you do that? Okay, let’s try this: imagine it’s the seventies aaain, and you’re watching a student-educational-programme on the tv about science. Good. Now imagine they’re wrong about very very much, but in a bizarre way.

The first episode contained things such as Intelligent Calcium—an element with atom-weight 42. At least, it said so itself and why should it lie? Besides, I think Edgar Wright (of Spaced and Shaun of the Dead fame) would have said something if that had been the case, since he did the questioning. He too would never lie to us, I’m sure of it.
