Wonderfalls again

[]    moving pictures : 1. February 2005, 14:58

So the best thing on tv in a long time is finally out on DVD. (For those who don’t realize this, I’m of course talking about Wonderfalls.) And oh, wat a mixed blessing it is. It is really wonderful to be able to watch it properly and not on some crappy old avi-file where things are missing and there’s a counter in the upper corner.

Wonderfully bittersweet as this is it and I want more. I want more! Thirteen episodes are far from enough. It’s the Firefly syndrome all over again, and I’ll just end up watching the show late at night and cry myself to sleep. Not literally crying, it’s hard to cry to Wonderfalls. Still, best thing there is. (They also show it on sweidsh TV, thursdays, 20:00. If you don’t own the DVD, watch it there.)

But the DVD is great. It’s the first time I see the pilot mk II—you know, the one where they’ve re-filmed certain scenes so that they have the right actors and added things here and there. Excellent I think.

This is also the second time ver that I watch the episode called Lying Pig. The leaked rip was in really bad shape with horrible sound so before this it was impossible to watch it properly. Which was a crying shame as it contains some of the funniest scenes and lines ever.

Wonderfalls!

  2. Axelmusic.com is where I bought mine. It’s cheap, especially now, but probably not cheapest. But on the other hand, they’re fast, has great service in case somethings goes wrong and they pack the goods really well.
