Augie De Blieck Jr explains the Marvel vs Image thing as Marvel once again tries it’s big corporate hand at creator-owned comics.
It’s a step in the right direction for Marvel, but they’ve already been there and abandoned it once before so I’m a little bit of a cynic. I don’t know how it will affect Image but I’m a bit sceptical to the plans of Erik Larsen. It might work out, but catering to the already overcrowded comic “mainstream” seems like a bad idea to me. Even so, considering that they does have some interesting things if you look closely, I’m sure they’ll outlive Marvel’s ICON-line by far.
