Daisy Kutter and the last train #1

[]    comics : 27. August 2004, 15:23

I have a a rugged past with western comics. I never got into Blueberry and the closest I ever got was Preacher. Movies is a whole different ballpark—no problem there. And even so, Daisy Kutter is the first thing I’ve read from Viper Comics. It won’t be the last.

It is great, really. And I think my brother would love it as it features a game of no-limit hold ém and he’s a sucker for those kind of things. Kazu Kibuishi is another one of those talanted people who can both draw and tell a good story. I think it has something to do with the robots. Huge robots and small robots.

Diasy Kutter is a former gunslinger who tries to settle down. Of course, while she wants to do that not only does she get restless, other people don’t want her to settle down at all. They have a job for her. A Job she pretty much desn’t want to do.

The first issue is pretty much setup, but it’s a good setup. It builds and shows the characters and force them in different directions. Go, buy, read.
