The slow pace of Brian
Ex Machina #3 felt a whole lot like the exposition issue. Very little happens except setup. Brian Vaughan still manages to make that interesting, but in combination with the pacing from one of the slower Y: The Last Man, it makes for the least good so far. But as I said, it’s still good, and we get more from Kremlin which is never a bad thing.
If I had to chose one of District X and Powers, I think I’d have to go with District X. I know, I’m surprised myself. It’s much dirtier and hard-edged than the clean and more static Powers and I don’t just mean the art. There’s nothing wrong with Oeming as works by him is on my “you might want to buy this *hint, hint, nudge, nudge”-list. District X is also more of a loose cannon, thnings might happen that you really didn’t expect, and it manages this despite the presense of our least favorite mutant bad-ass.
Next, entries about Demo and Daisy Kutter.
